Responsibilities Safely operate various heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Manage inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and fulfilling orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems such as AS400. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper documentation in the warehouse management system. Perform stock replenishment tasks and organize warehouse distribution areas to optimize space utilization and accessibility. Conduct regular safety inspections adhering to OSHA standards; operate mechanical equipment with mechanical knowledge to prevent accidents. Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling materials safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipment details, and safety checks; participate in cycle counts and inventory audits. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow processes related to order fulfillment, materials handling, and storage solutions. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is highly preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certifications are advantageous. Knowledge of inventory management systems like AS400 or similar platforms is desirable. Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures including order picking & packing using RF scanners. Mechanical aptitude for operating heavy equipment safely; understanding of OSHA safety standards is essential. Experience in manufacturing or construction settings involving materials handling or heavy lifting will be beneficial. Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy in stock management and order fulfillment.
