Description:Job Title: Shipping & Receiving ClerkReports to: Shipping SupervisorSupervisory Responsibilities: NonePay Range $23.00 hr.- $ 25.00 hrPosition Objective / Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk works with the Shipping Supervisor to perform all tasks involved in the receiving, storage, and shipment of all items received from suppliers or the production shop.Hours: M-F, 8:30 am-5 pmEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Package finished goods accurately and neatlyLoad, wrap, and band pallets for shippingAssist in loading and unloading of vehicles driven by couriers and freight driversMaintain cleanliness of the inventory area and equipmentIdentify errors and report them to the Planning & Inventory ManagerRead packing lists and other forms used by major freight carriers to ensure accuracyInspect received items for accurate count, description, and labelingParticipate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.Make arrangements for pick-up by customer-specified carriers.Operate Pallet Jack and Fork LiftPerforms production duties during slow periods (see Production Operator job description)Performs related duties as needed by supervisionMakes recommendations for process improvementRequirements:Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required.
