Apprentice Electrician

Job DescriptionJob Title: Apprentice ElectricianLocation: Rochester, NYPay Rate: $22-$25 per hour (DOE)Hours: 40-50 hours per weekPosition Overview:We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support licensed electricians on commercial and industrial projects in the Rochester, NY area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on electrical experience while working under experienced electricians and foremen.Must be currently enrolled in a registered electrical apprenticeship program through a school, college, or trade schoolCompletion of a New York Department of State-approved Basic Electrical Apprentice Course (5-hour, 30-hour, or 100-hour)Job Duties:Assist with the installation of electrical systemsThread conduit ends and connect couplings and fittings using appropriate toolsSecure brackets to bulkheads and pull wire through conduit to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminalsReplace faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, wiring, and other electrical componentsHook up equipment for power and perform basic electrical connectionsAssist with replacing motors, transformers, generators, and controllersFollow direction and request guidance from Electricians and Foremen as neededFollow all state and local electrical codes during installation and inspectionInstall and connect wiring to circuit breakers, outlets, and transformersPick up supplies and materials from vendors as requiredWork overtime as needed to meet project deadlinesMaintain accurate timesheets as instructed by the SupervisorClean and organize shop areas and job sitesStock company vehicles with required tools, parts, and suppliesMaintain inventory and notify the Supervisor of shortagesPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentMust be currently enrolled in a registered electrical apprenticeship program through a school, college, or trade schoolCompletion of a New York Department of State-approved Basic Electrical Apprentice Course (5-hour, 30-hour, or 100-hour)Valid driver's license with reliable transportationAbility to read electrical schematics and follow instructionsBasic knowledge of hand tools and electrical equipmentAbility to work safely in compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding positions (bending, climbing, kneeling)Willingness to work overtime as neededPre-employment drug screening requiredOSHA 10 certification requiredMeet Your RecruiterCraig HoltRecruiter309-223-4290craig@industrialtradeservices.com
