CAD Drafter

Job DescriptionJOB OPENING CAD DrafterJob DescriptionSeeking a CAD Drafter specifically with AutoCAD experience. 2 yrs experience with AutoCAD drafting. Experience or interest in design and drafting in multiple disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural) Understanding of drafting or designing layout of systems in any discipline. Tailor drawings to clients’ CAD standards. Ability to learn, take direction, and develop design capabilities. Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and produces results with the opportunity to exercise judgment. Work closely with engineers to develop strategies, update designs, and draft red lines and markups. Develops drawings, updates drawing layouts of equipment, mechanical, electrical layout, architectural and structural. Use AutoCAD to update drawings and create models. Skills And Qualifications AutoCAD experience with structural, mechanical (not HVAC), electrical, piping, architecture, reading plans, redlines, and diagrams Travel short or long distances to job sites and possible overnight stays Experience in working in the field. 2+ years’ experience with AutoCAD (3D drafting is a plus) Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Good written and verbal communication skills (will be working with clients and vendors) Work well in a team environment Physical requirements: can climb ladders, pick up 25 pounds, operate a motor vehicleSALARY Depends on experienceBenefits Self-Directed IRA with Company Match Health Insurance Flexible Schedule Paid/Sick time offABOUT KH2A ENGINEERING, Inc.KH2A Engineering, Inc. is an engineering consultant serving the design needs of industrial manufacturing customers.
