Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote position for an Asylum Story Writer. The selected candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling, accurate, and legally aligned client narratives for asylum applications.Key Responsibilities • Conduct interviews with clients to gather detailed and relevant information • Translate and interpret client stories from Haitian Creole to English • Draft compelling asylum declarations and personal statements • Organize and structure narratives based on facts and supporting evidence • Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to align stories with legal strategies • Edit and proofread documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism Qualifications Strong writing, creative writing, and storytelling skills • Proven experience in research, information gathering, and client interviewing • Excellent editing and proofreading skills • Strong command of English (grammar and writing) • Fluency in Haitian Creole (Required) • Familiarity with immigration law or legal frameworks (asylum experience is a plus) • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Proficiency in: • Microsoft Word • Microsoft Excel • Adobe AcrobatTechnical Requirements • Reliable computer/laptop (fully functional) • Stable and fast internet connection • Quiet and professional working environment Compensation • Base Salary: $700 – $1,000 USD/month (based on experience) • Performance Bonus: $50 – $100 per successful caseWe are open to offering higher compensation for highly skilled candidates
