The successful candidate will be a mission-driven, innovative, and inspirational healthcare leader with a proven track record in complex, highly regulated environments. Responsibilities for this role include working closely with the Board and leadership team to define and execute the organization's strategic vision, driving continuous performance improvement, and strengthening partnerships within the donation and transplant community. The CEO will also serve as a persuasive advocate for organ and tissue donation, engaging with legislators, regulators, the media, and the public to elevate the field of donation and transplantation.The ideal CEO will have a strong background in operational excellence, strategic insight, and the executive presence necessary to represent the organization both regionally and nationally. They will be expected to champion a culture of continuous improvement, both within the organization and the broader OPO industry, and to ensure that the company continues to honor donor families, serve transplant candidates, and expand the availability of life-saving organs and tissues. Additionally, the role requires a leader who can foster a people-first culture, with a focus on staff development, engagement, and belonging, while maintaining the accountability and respect that are the hallmarks of the organization.
