Job Title: Medical PhysicistLocation: Columbus, GA 31901Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)Job Duration: 12 WeeksPay Package for 40 hrs/Week: $7000 WeeklyMinimum Experience: 5 years; 1st Timers are acceptedPatient Population: Neonates to GeriatricsCertifications Required: Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics; Ability to be listed as an authorized medical physicist on State of Georgia Radioactive Material License; Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification ProgramGeneral Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment.Ratio / Census: 30 per LINACPatient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, GeriatricsUnit Systems: Epic (Preferred), ARIA EMR/ Varian LINAC ExperienceWeekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specifiedFloating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
