Direct Support Professional

CARES full-time staff receive a company vehicle to use for getting to and from work and for the entire workday because you'll be transporting our Participants (VIPs)! Cares of Western PA needs a part-time Direct Support Professional to support adults with intellectual disabilities with the ultimate goal of gaining independence and community integration at the Hopewell Campus of our community-based day program. Your work week will look like this: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm No Nights No Weekends No Holidays With CARES programs approximately 75% of the time, here's what you'll be doing: Helping participants become a valuable part of their community. Volunteering for non-profits. Helping our VIPs learn life skills and prevocational skills. Enjoying many different recreational activities. Holiday Pay (10 per year) Paid training at full/normal rate Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Ability to pass physical/TB test. Ability to pass criminal background checks. Basic computer, GPS, and phone knowledge is needed to adequately perform job duties. Experience helpful, but not necessary. Complete PAID training provided.
