Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Lead Process Technician will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing production processes and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. You will work closely with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and adhere to strict safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and an eagerness to learn new techniques.Job ResponsibilitiesActs as technical lead to oversee production processes, including set-up, start-up, and changeover proceduresResponsible for monitoring and controlling production processes, ensuring that equipment and machinery are operating within specified parametersDesigns, plans, and implements regular inspections of production lines, identifying and addressing any abnormalities, malfunctions, or deviations from quality standardsOversees tasks completed by process techniciansTroubleshoot equipment issues, identify the root causes of problems, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtimeTrain and assist operators and process technicians in proper equipment operations, troubleshooting techniques, process control, and safety guidelinesCollaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to develop and optimize production processes, improving efficiency, yield, and product qualityPerform routine calibration on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdownsDevelop process improvement strategies and contribute ideas for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste reduction in collaboration with other departmentsUnderstand customer requirements and ensure that products are manufactured accordinglyMaintain accurate production records and communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely mannerFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or technical certificate preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing processes or related fieldStrong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment preferredKnowledge of processing equipment such as extruders, dies, cooling tanksKnowledge of safety protocols, quality control principles, and regulatory requirementsAbility to read blueprints/drawings/schematics and measuring devices (calipers/micrometers)Proficiency in using tools and instruments for measurement, calibration, and troubleshootingGood written/oral communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with othersFlexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demandsRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to noise and heatCompensationThe hourly pay rate is $33-$45/hrBonus opportunity401(k) plan / group retirement savings programShort-term and long-term disability benefitsLife insuranceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
