Role: Quality Management Systems Specialist Company: AxonLocation: 17800 N 85th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85255Hours: Onsite, some remote flexibilityType: 86 month contract with potential to hirePR: $25-32Interviews: 2 round interview process - virtualAbout the Role Axon is seeking a QMS Specialist contractor to support the implementation of ETQ and related Quality Management System transformation activities. This role will help coordinate legacy quality data migration, support system implementation tasks, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality data, process requirements, and system readiness activities are completed accurately and on schedule.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QMS or eQMS platforms, quality records, controlled documents, data cleanup, migration validation, and implementation support. This person should be detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with large data sets, and able to operate effectively across Quality, IT, business stakeholders, and vendor teams.What You’ll Do Support ETQ implementation activities for Axon across quality system processes, including data migration, business rule validation, testing, and go-live readiness.Coordinate legacy quality data migration activities, including data review, cleanup, preparation, validation, and issue tracking.Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify business rules, resolve data gaps, and confirm requirements for migrated records and related system setup.Work with vendor and technical resources on migration templates, import requirements, configuration constraints, and issue resolution.Support validation of migrated records to confirm accuracy, completeness, traceability, and alignment to approved business rules.Assist with implementation tasks related to controlled documents, training records, user setup, roles/access structures, workflows, and process documentation.Drive visibility to migration and implementation progress through clear trackers, action logs, risk summaries, and stakeholder updates.Support user acceptance testing, post-go-live stabilization, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities as needed.What We’re Looking For Experience supporting QMS, eQMS, ERP, PLM, document management, or enterprise system implementation projects.Strong understanding of quality records, controlled documents, training records, process documentation, and regulated business processes.Direct ETQ experience is preferred, but experience with similar QMS, document control, PLM, ERP, or regulated enterprise systems will be considered.Experience with data migration, data cleanup, data validation, master data management, or large-scale record reconciliation.Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of information.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track progress, and follow through independently.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools for data review, tracking, filtering, cleanup, and reconciliation.Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document decisions, risks, issues, and action items.Preferred Qualifications Experience with ETQ, MasterControl, Arena, Agile PLM, SAP, Oracle, or similar quality/document management systems.Background in Quality Systems, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Document Control, Training Management, Compliance, or Operations Quality.Familiarity with supplier quality records such as PPAPs, FAIRs, SCARs, CARs, control plans, inspection records, or related quality documentation.Experience supporting system go-live, user acceptance testing, data validation, change management, or post-implementation stabilization.Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or other structured quality system environments.
