Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant with an accredited institution, listed with the Connecticut State Registry or certification as a Home Health Aide.EXPERIENCE: Preferred experience working with the senior population; will train new graduates.Skills and Competencies:Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearlyMust be able to relate to the elderly in a dignified manner and build a relationship with residents that are positive and supportive.Maintain in-service hours required for certification and by company policy.Competent use of equipment such as mechanical lifts, scales, and assistive mobility devices.Must be physically able to lift and carry moderately heavy loads and walk and stand for extended periods.Working knowledge of computers and ability to learn and utilize electronic documentation.Who We Are: Seabury is a premier Not-for-Profit Active Life Plan Community located on 66 acres of beautiful Connecticut countryside.
