Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Lead & Shop FloaterLocation: Elgin, ILJob Type and Duration: Direct HirePay range: $30.00 - $32.00/hrPosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Lead to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance. In addition, this position serves as a "floater," providing support across various roles on the production floor as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and proper functionalityPerform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) in accordance with ISO schedulesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationIdentify safety concerns and take corrective action when necessaryProvide flexible support across the shop floor by filling in for manufacturing roles as neededAssist production teams to maintain workflow and meet operational goalsQualificationsPrevious experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of preventive maintenance practices and ISO standards is a plusAbility to work as part of a teamFlexibility to perform multiple tasks and support different departmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyMust be able to lift up to 50lbsEquipment and Experience RequirementsExperience with Punch Press, Metal Roll Forming, and Coil machines strong preferredSit-Down Forklift and Pallet JackEducationHigh School or GEDTrade School or 2-year degree in metal shopCompany DescriptionESPO Engineering, established in 1965, is a premier Technical Recruiting and Staffing firm.ESPO employees may enjoy a full range of benefits from 401(k), Premium Health Insurance, Dental, Disability, Direct Deposit, PTO time and Holiday Pay.
