Certified Behavior Technician (CBT/RBT)
The Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) provides direct, one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and their families under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The CBT is responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting accurate data, and supporting skill development across communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral domains. This role requires professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to ethical, assent-based, and developmentally appropriate care in home, clinic, and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment goals
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must already possess a Certified Behavior Technician Certification (CBT) from the Department of Health.
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
Skills:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Proficient in data collection and documentation
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with ASD
- Excellent problem-solving skills
