Lead Retail Store Generalist

Department: Retail OperationsWork Location: South PapillionEmployment Status: Full-TimePay Range: $18.62Job SummaryThis position will assist retail store management in training and motivating retail staff, meeting performance and safety goals/standards and controlling company assets.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform all Retail Generalist functions in the storeGreet and assist customers and donors in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner and issue receipts as neededOpen/close store as required following appropriate proceduresAct as Manager on Duty as necessaryComplete daily breakdown audit, store bank deposit, and reconciling cash drawersResponsible for authorizing store discounts according to agency standardsProvide on-the-job training and onboarding for new and existing employeesSupport all Mission-related programs in the retail storesOversee community service workers and assign work as neededInvestigate and document on the job injuries of all direct reportsAccountable for inventory control in new goods, soft lines and hard linesMaintain a clean, organized, safe store and production environment Ensure appropriate and safe use and storage of Goodwill tools, equipment and propertyMaintain daily production log on all donations, production staff, tracking individual’s productivity and overall store productionMeet or exceed the attendance expectations for this positionActively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participantsOther duties as assignedIndividual Development & Interpersonal SkillsPersonally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.Working relationship with supervisor and co-workers.Must have the ability to work as part of a team.Must be a positive role model for co-workers/programs participants and customers.ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTEducate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
