Our client in the Seattle area is a part of a leading Design and Manufacturer of Aerospace Products and is looking for an Operations Manager for a direct or contract position.Keltia Design Inc. is a technical support services company providing Aerospace Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace industry in WA and CA, and other locations around the US and Canada. We have been in business for nearly 20 years in the US and over 8 years in Europe.Position Summary:Operations Manager is a highly motivated, people leader responsible for owning and managing the product line's performance and people. This individual reports to the Value Stream Manager who is accountable for the value management stream, strategic and tactical supply chain, ACE (continuous improvement) and cost reduction. A successful Operations Manager will utilize lean tools and processes within their departments and cross-functionally to improve their business' performance while working comfortably within a diverse, global matrix organization.Primary Responsibilities:Responsibility of all Facility ManagementProduction Planning and ManagementProject Management SkillsFAA RelationshipsBoeing RelationshipsBoeing System IntegrationAS 9100 Rev D. Audit ResponsibilityAudit & Assessment Responsibility such as Boeing and FAAFinal Product ControlCustomer Review MeetingsPersonnel hiringManaging job interviewsWarehouse ManagementBuilds trust and manages the work of manufacturing production disciplines.Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), manufacturingManages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations functionImplement continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and practicesLeads cost reduction efforts and process improvements for the unit or shift to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectivenessLeads scheduling for the unit or shift to ensure that operations run according to established production schedulesLeads the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for the unit or shift to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resourcesHeads materials and logistics problem resolution for the unit or shift to ensure availability of materials and smooth operationsEstablishes performance objectives and leads cell performance and productivityLeads production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for the unit or shift to enhance production capabilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Industry Relevant Degree.The candidate will have 4+ years of related experience in positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing/operations, supply chain management, finance, business strategy, or similar fields.
