Sales Development ManagerThe Sales Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of NI talent as we expand our Sales Development program to new capabilities. In this role, your coaching will help shape the trajectory of our new college graduates and experienced Sales Development Engineers (SDEs) as you instill sales and technical best practice. Your investment will shape the culture of high-performing, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial engineers and create an environment where a diverse set of high achievers can thrive.We're looking for leaders who are known for not only hitting their own goals, but also can be seen improving the outcomes of everyone around them. The successful candidate will inspire new engineers and build the team skillsets needed to exceed goals and maintain engagement across all phases of the program.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Coaching and mentorship; providing an ongoing coaching cadence to the SDE team to refine skills and achieve targetsFostering a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging team members share best practices and continue to grow professionallyEnabling connection to the larger NI organization including sales, applications engineers, customer operations, technical support, field marketing, and product marketingSupporting the creation and implementation of individual business plans, aligned to the region's Account PlansFacilitating technical growth around product, solution, and business unitsMaintaining productive handshake with the marketing organization around overall lead performance and improvementsIdeating and creating process improvements for acceleration of business creation, knowledge, SDE engagement, or other improvementsBuilding trust with employees and supporting as career guide for the next step after SDEBuilding university relationships, identifying new SDEs, and hiring the next superstars for NIWho You Are:You have a track record of hitting sales quotas through intentional business planning and executionYou can be seen coaching others around you others on your team do better because you're part of the teamYou seek continuous improvement in your customer outreach and thrive in developing new prospecting strategiesYou build customer focused teams and prioritize customer interactions and outcomesYou regularly seek and share feedback that provides a competitive edge and celebrate important customer winsYou consistently recruit and retain top talentYou love diving into the technical details of a customer problem to ensure you are providing the right solutionYou can manage multiple stakeholders' input and enable groups to reach collaborative, successful outcomeFor This Role, You Will Need:3+ years of sales or sales management experience at National Instruments or a comparable test and measurement companyEngineering Bachelor's degree or 6+ years relevant technical experienceStrong English language mastery and technical communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships and desire to support the development of othersAbility to identify SDE team needs and autonomously create a plan to solve and executeLive in or relocate to Austin, TXPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:Experience working with new college graduatesExperience using National Instruments tools like LabVIEW, PXI, or CompactDAQSFDC CRM masteryKnowledge of marketing and lead management processesKnowledge of sales reporting and metricsAbility to communicate complex information to engineers and non-engineersExperience in new grad recruiting and onboardingExperience working with global teamsOur Offer to You:We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing and know that to do your best you should have flexible, competitive benefit plans to meet you and your family's physical, mental, financial, and social needs.
