Electrical Design Engineer

Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer (NJ)Job DescriptionContribute to the development and testing of Light Detecting Systems involving CCDs, PDAs, InGaAs, and CMOS sensors. Engage in all phases of product development, including definition, design, qualification, and production support. Design mixed signal circuits incorporating Op-Amps, Voltage References, DACs, ADCs, and discrete semiconductors. Design FPGA-based high-speed digital circuitry with LVDS and MIPI interfaces for sensor command and control. Participate in PCB board layout and routing definition stages for new board or product designs and contribute to board level test fixture designs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test Light Detecting Systems involving CCDs, PDAs, InGaAs, and CMOS sensors.Engage in product development phases: definition, design, qualification, and production support.Design mixed signal circuits with Op-Amps, Voltage References, DACs, ADCs, and discrete semiconductors.Design FPGA-based high-speed digital circuitry with LVDS and MIPI interfaces.Participate in PCB board layout and routing definition stages for new designs.Contribute to the design of board level test fixtures.Essential SkillsSolid understanding of electrical engineering principles in analog and digital domains.Design knowledge of low noise and wide bandwidth analog and mixed signal circuits.Experience with data acquisition systems incorporating interfaces: USB 2/3, Gig-E, LVDS, MIPI, SPI, and I2C.Knowledge of system-level power distribution design and power management techniques.Ability to guide multi-layer PCB board designs within stack-up, parts placement, and routing requirements.Familiarity with test equipment: DVMs, Power Supplies, Function Generators, and Logic/Spectrum Analyzers.Sound test, troubleshooting, and SMT soldering skillsJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Piscataway, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.HORIBA Scientific offers 200 years of experience in developing high-performance scientific instruments and analytical solutions.
