Worker TypeRegularSummaryJob DescriptionThe Sr. Subcontracts Administrator's primary role is to develop, negotiate, execute, and maintain subcontract agreements, specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services with key subcontractors.Position ResponsibilitiesWorks on strategic proposals, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposals (RFP's) & Request for Quotes (RFQ's) which may include Letters of Intent, Teaming Agreements, Export Licenses & NDA'sRequires strong negotiation skills and able to conduct detailed price and cost analysesMonitors subcontract performance to ensure cost, technical, quality and contractual objectives are being metMaintains subcontracting records in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, AV's procurement policies and procedures and CPSR standards, as applicableWorks on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsUses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysExercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsDetermines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)Bachelor's Degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMinimum of 8 – 12 years of directly related DoD and Commercial subcontracts experienceMust have proven working knowledge of diverse contract types, medium to highly complex subcontractsExperience conducting detailed price/cost analysis, including subcontracts that exceed the Truthful cost and pricing data thresholdExperience negotiating with commercial and International Suppliers/SubcontractorsHave a solid knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition RegulationsMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; be self-motivated and takes initiativeStrong computer skills including PowerPoint, MS Office and Project Management toolsOccasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.Other Qualifications & Desired CompetenciesRelated contracts/subcontracts coursework is preferredNCMA or college level certifications preferredSuccessfully organizes and prioritizes task in dynamic work environment; Demonstrates competency in analyzing a problem and recommending solutionsWorks well under pressure with ability to be flexible and accept changeDemonstrates competency in coordinating detailed Technical Evaluations with other organizationsWorks well with engineering and program teams to establish requirements/Statement of Works, issue Request for Proposals, and manage high dollar and complete subcontractsMust work with a minimum of supervisionAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of dutiesDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectivesTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work productsIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the companyFocuses on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interestsPhysical DemandsAbility to work in an office environment (Constant)Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Constant)Clearance LevelNo ClearanceThe Salary Range For This Role Is$97,680 - $138,600AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
