Construction Estimator / Quantity Takeoffs

Your primary responsibility will be to interpret blueprints and specifications and create accurate quantity take-offs using company provided software (Bluebeam), for residential and commercial projects, including multi-family, restaurants, hotels, schools, etc. Focus on exterior elevations: stone veneer, thin brick, masonry. Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed take-offs for material quantities. - Review job specifications, plans and scope of work. - Prepare and/or review job estimates (commercial and residential). - Prepare proposals for submittal to customers (using existing templates). - Work with sales team to identify opportunities. - Search bid database for appropriate projects. - Follow up with customers via phone, email. Qualifications: - Ability to read and understand construction drawings, contracts and specifications. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Ability to communicate with General Contractors, Architects, Estimators. - Strong analytical and organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to prepare accurate quotes to meet deadlines. - Ability to work independently and to take initiative. - Proficient in the use of MS Office software to prepare documents (Excel and Word). - Willingness to learn and apply our estimating process, while proposing potential improvements. - Experience with Blue Beam computer aided estimating software highly desirable, but not required. - Experience in Construction industry desirable, but no previous experience in stone veneer construction required.
