Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with scientific operations.Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)o Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.o Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specificationso Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedureso Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessaryo Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiencyo Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)o Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and proceduresMust follow all BD safety policies and procedureso Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirementsMinimum Education/Experience:High school with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 3 years laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 2-3 years laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline plus 1-2 years laboratory experienceKnowledge and Skills:o Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skillso Must be detail-orientedo Strong time management skills requiredo Ability to operate independentlyo Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetico Proficiency in MS Excel is required Shift: [] Start: []At KAYGEN, we are always looking for dynamic, talented and experienced individuals.
