Civil Engineer - Land Development

Job Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Civil Engineer though some remote work may be permitted. Additionally, a part-time, contract position or partially remote position may be considered. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as Civil Engineering Design, Planning, Storm drainage, utility plan and profiles and Stormwater Management. The role will involve working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will coordinate with the firm owner and other professionals, including architects, contractors and government officials, to ensure timely and successful project completion. Qualifications Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills 3-10 years’ minimum design experience in Land Development work, preferred in Northern Virginia Strong Design skills required, including layout, grading and Stormwater Management Experience in Construction Administration Experience with Zoning Applications & Public Presentations Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in AutoCAD Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Professional Engineering (PE) license is required Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering Company Description Land Development Consultants, Inc. is a 64-year-old professional service firm located in Fairfax, VA that provides Civil Engineering, Land Planning, and Surveying Services to clients in Northern Virginia.
