Road Maintenance Worker

JOB ABOUT THE JOBOperates road construction and maintenance equipment and equipment used in more specialized road work. Performs related duties as required. This classification is distinguished from lower classifications by the more specialized and skilled nature of tasks.WORK SCHEDULEMonday - Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from high school or successful completion of the equivalent GED. Two years experience in general road construction and maintenance work including the performance of skilled manual tasks and one year of experience in the operation of motorized, medium-sized road construction and maintenance equipment, or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience with bridge work, asphalt paving, and/or concrete form work or placement preferred. NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONSPossession of a valid Class A Oregon commercial driver's license at the time of appointment. Class A Oregon commercial driver’s license must be free of restrictions for air brakes, fifth-wheel, or manual transmission and must include a tanker endorsement.
