By choosing to join our team, you will have the opportunity to:Improve the quality of life for students with autism, ages 6-22.Enjoy the flexibility of a smaller caseload with more work/life balance.Collaborate and work alongside other dedicated professionals, including speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, and behavioral support specialistsGrow as a professional by accessing our continuing education budget to obtain CEUsWork in a supportive environment without the bureaucracy of a District jobEssential Functions Include:Conduct screening and testing of students to determine goalsPrepare assessment reportsActively participate in the development of the students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goalsConsult with teachers on follow-through activities for students within their caseloadObserve and work directly with students either on an individual or group basis towards their communication goalsDevelop curriculum for student based on assessment of communication goalsModify the students’ program based on periodic evaluation to help curve behaviors and promote communication goalsMaintain students’ speech recordsParticipate in staff development programsMeet with parents regarding their student’s progress as requestedDesired Skills and ExperienceMust have CCC; CFY and SLPA candidates are encouraged to applyMust have appropriate California CredentialAt least 1 year experience with autism and other developmental disabilities preferredMust be able to understand the principles and techniques of language, speech and hearing services with emphasis on Moderate to Severe DD populationsKnowledge of AAC and/or visual structure is highly preferredMust be able to work in a dynamic environment which requires thinking on your feetMust be able to work in a team-oriented environmentCome join our fantastic team!
