Software Engineer

Our client is currently operating an existing CMDB environment that will be migrated to ServiceNow as part of a strategic transformation project. For this initiative, we are seeking an experienced CMDB Migration Specialist with strong technical expertise in Configuration Management and ServiceNow migrations.Responsibilities:Support the technical migration of an existing CMDB to ServiceNow.Analyze and prepare existing CMDB data for migration.Review and cleanse source data prior to migration.Assist with data mapping between source systems and ServiceNow.Perform data validation before, during, and after migration activities.Verify migrated Configuration Items (CIs) for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.Identify and document migration issues, data discrepancies, and duplicates.Support test migrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance activities.Coordinate technical clarification points with project teams, business stakeholders, and ServiceNow owners.Track and document open issues throughout the migration process.Provide operational support during the CMDB migration execution.Ensure a clean and reliable CMDB data foundation for ongoing use within ServiceNow.Requirements:Proven experience with CMDB migration projects.Hands-on experience with CMDB migrations, ideally to ServiceNow.Strong understanding of Configuration Management processes and technical data models.Confident handling of source data, data structures, and data quality validation.Ideally, experience from a comparable CMDB or ServiceNow migration project.
