Director, Hub Services - MultipleNexstar Media Group, Inc., the nation’s largest owner/operator of television stations, is seeking a Director, Broadcast Hub Services to lead the strategy and operations of its centralized broadcast hubs. Reporting directly to the Vice President Broadcast Hub Services- this role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of Nexstar’s 24/7 master control operations across five hub locations.This position will be based at one of our Hub locations: Dallas, Indianapolis or Spartanburg, SCKey ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight of Master Control operations supporting Nexstar’s nationwide station portfolioEnsure compliance with FCC regulations and industry broadcast standardsLead and support 24/7 operations across multiple time zones; respond to critical or time-sensitive issues as neededLead, mentor, and develop a staff of over 300 employees, including local hub leadership teams at each locationFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementDirect all employee workflow management activities within Broadcast Hub Services, including hiring, performance management, and organizational planningProvide guidance on employee relations and labor matters as neededManage cost efficiencies while supporting VP, Broadcast Hub Services in planning and management of the capital and operating expense budgets for Hub Services aligned with company goals.Provide guidance to station chief engineers on capital projects related to master control operationsBuild and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure service and support quality, reliability, and cost effectivenessCollaborate cross-functionally with Traffic, Marketing, Engineering, and Station leadershipSupport General Managers and Chief Engineers in achieving operational excellenceEvaluate, recommend, and implement emerging technologies to enhance broadcast operationsDrive innovation that improves quality, reliability, efficiency, and scalability across Master Control HubsEnsure Nexstar remains at the forefront of broadcast and transmission technologies, including ATSC standardsAbility to travel extensively and on short notice to support hub and spoke station needs, vendor engagements, or operational prioritiesSupport CW Network, NewsNation, Antenna TV and Rewind TV network distribution teamQualifications10+ years of leadership experience in broadcast operations, master control, or related technical environmentsProven ability to lead large, multi-site, 24/7 operational teamsDeep knowledge of FCC regulations, broadcast systems, transmission workflows, and ATSC standardsExperience managing multi-million-dollar operating and capital budgetsStrong executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadershipExceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skillsAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentDemonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teamsStrong strategic thinking with the ability to set long-term direction and execute effectivelyExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency with broadcast technologies and modern operational systemsValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
