This position will provide the strategic and tactical direction to directly impact the day-to-day quality of our products. Work directly with a cross-functional team to drive improvements to key metrics and customer satisfaction.Quick SummaryThe person in this role will be working in a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Engineering Technicians to meet and exceed customer expectations for conducting New Product Introductions and sustaining current production. The Quality Engineering Manager position will include direct communications with the customer(s) and making data driven decisions to ensure quality product is a priority above all.To be successful the candidate must be self-motivated, persistent, quality driven, a quick learner, possess good communication skills, have a positive attitude, and be able work independently, but be a team player. Problem solving techniques and processesKnowledge of software and applications development processesKnowledge of AIAG Core ToolsExperience leading a diverse team in a demanding environmentKey Performance ObjectivesShort Term: (0 to 3 months)Learn the Customer Requirements and Quality flow downsLearn KEJ systems and controlsTake ownership of the CFT Quality meetings, data for the meetings, action itemsLearn Quality and Manufacturing documentation and processesProvide leadership to Quality Engineering and Quality Engineering Technicians.Learn and provide input to the Quality Manager in relation to Operational ExcellenceMidterm: (3 to 12 months)Co-own Corrective Actions to closure internally and externallyAutomate systems as controls and reportingReduce overall customer PPM, FPY and COPQ metricsImplement data driven decisionsUnderstand the cost drivers for COPQ caused during NPI/Production and put actions in place to eliminate the associated costsAnalyze quality data and identify trendsDocument implement new processes while continuously improving current processes and documentationReviews customer documentation and determines NPI/APQP requirementsEnsures the effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs and support the development of quotations in response to our customer’s RFQs.Don’t meet every single requirement?
