Life Enrichment Assistant

Life Enrichment Assistant Clark Retirement is hiring a part time Life Enrichment Assistant for our activities team. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, cheerful, creative, and ready to create an exceptional experience for our residents - and have fun while doing it. The Life Enrichment Associate coordinates and facilitates daily group activities, special events, and individual one-on-one activities that make the residents' lives more meaningful, stimulates their physical and mental capabilities, and attains optimal social, physical, and emotional stimulation.As a BHI Senior Living Community, the team at Clark Retirement is united in mission, we lead with compassion, and provide opportunities to grow and thrive professionally.Schedule Details:8:45am - 4:15pmEvery other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and alternating Mondays and Fridays (Four days per two-week pay period)Applicants with caregiving experience may be able to pick up additional shifts as a resident aide, if desired.Requirements:High school diploma or GEDBasic computer-related skillsEffective communication skills (written and verbal)Preferred: caregiving experience in an assisted living environmentPhysical job requirements may include loading and unloading supplies; variations of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers; physical activity that requires bending, twisting, stretching, pulling, lifting and carrying objects (light to heavy)Duties and Responsibilities:Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident.Assists with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean-up for such events.Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.About Clark Clark is a Life Plan Community with a continuum of care.
