Lead Community Mental Health Therapist (Master’s In-Hand - Remote)

Position: Lead Community Mental Health Therapist (Master’s In-Hand) Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (direct client care)/$60,000-$65,000/year (salary) Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours/week) Schedule: Must be available to work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day for the following working windows Weekdays: 12pm – 8pm Weekends: 10am – 6pm Work Setting: Remote (Telehealth + Optional In-Person Sessions) Service Areas: Livingston County (Pontiac and surrounding areas) McLean County (Bloomington / Normal) Madison County (Alton / Edwardsville) DuPage County (Wheaton and surrounding areas) Will County (Joliet and surrounding areas) Cook County (Arlington Heights / Schaumburg and surrounding areas) Compensation: Direct client care (client-facing) hours: Time spent providing services in clients’ homes or via telehealth Cross-system interventions with clients, caregivers, natural supports, and interdisciplinary team members Compensated at $40.00–$50.00 per hour, commensurate with role, credentials, and experience Indirect client care/administrative hours: Documentation (charting for direct client care visits and cross-system interventions) Ongoing clinical supervision (following onboarding) Travel time between clients (excluding commute from home to first client and last client to home) Administrative work related to client visits (documenting visits, completing forms, coordinating care, and other clinical administration directly tied to client services) Team meetings, trainings (following onboarding), and related administrative tasks Compensated at $16.60 per hour Mileage reimbursement: Mileage between client locations is reimbursed at 72 ½ cents per mile Bilingual Requirement (preferred): Spanish and English Speaking About Us: At Blue Kite Wellness, our mission is to reduce behavioral health challenges by providing accessible, compassionate, individualized, and holistic mental health services to children, teen, adults, and families. Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Lead Community Mental Health Therapist to provide individual and family therapy remotely while also supporting and mentoring clinicians. This role is remote, with telehealth as a primary option. Ability to provide in-person sessions is preferred but not required. In this role, you will utilize a client-centered approach, incorporating CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to address a range of behavioral and mental health challenges. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct, lasting impact on families, while working as part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team. This is a non-traditional role with flexibility to schedule sessions based on client needs and availability, including after-school hours, evenings, and weekends, as required. Key Responsibilities: Provide remote therapy services to children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges, such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, anxiety, depression, trauma, and dysregulation. Implement evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. Deliver crisis intervention and collaborate on safety planning as needed. Maintain timely and accurate documentation of session notes, treatment plans, and client progress in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to support ongoing professional growth. Coordinate and schedule sessions based on client needs and availability. Travel between client sessions within the service area (mileage reimbursement provided). Who You Are: You hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a behavioral/mental health related field. (required) You have a strong foundation in mental health and a passion for working with youth and families. You possess professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills. You are comfortable working independently, with the flexibility to adjust your schedule based on client needs. You have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (this role involves travel). This provides predictable hours, steady caseload flow, and reliable session times—supporting professional focus while fostering strong, ongoing client relationships through consistent availability.
