The tutor is responsible for instruction in small groups with a focus on closing the achievement gap and building a stronger academic foundation.Education and Experience:Experience working with students either as a teacher, tutor or as a resource personnelUnderstand the need for accurate PLI record keeping and documentation in a timely mannerProviding small group instructionSetting and maintaining high expectations for studentsExecuting student goal-setting conferencesCollecting and analyzing dataBuilding relationships with students in service of their academic growthAbility to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.Ability to motivate students daily attendanceCommunicate with PLI management, school staff, and parents.Adhere to all Proximity Learning, Inc timelines and expectationsJob Expectation:Must live in the Los Angeles, CA areaThis is an on site positionMust have own TransportationBe willing to work 9 hours per week
