Our network of independent entrepreneurs provide customers with personalized service at the local level with the global reach and resources of a multi-billion dollar company.Location: Onsite Jacksonville OfficeSchedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm or 8am to 5pmSalary range: $17.12- $21.00What work will you perform?Process invoices and distribute payments for corporate vendors, focusing on accuracy and adherence to internal controls.Essential Responsibilities:Index invoices and ensure proper routing through Palette (AP system)Work with other Landstar departments to resolve discrepanciesGenerate payments. Print and review checks for accuracyDistribute checks and maintain logs for audit controlsFile claims and review account agings for National Account tire vendorsAnswer calls from repair shops regarding rebuttals to claimsIndex check copies into imaging systemDocument usage of check stock, maintain supply and place orders to replenishPrepare monthly reports and assist with close proceduresMinimum Experience and Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required6 months office experience.Preferred Experience and Qualifications:Previous Accounts Payable experienceKnowledge of Accounts Payable software (Epicor, Palette, SAP Concur)Experience with corporate environment and executive management communicationKnowledge of accounting cycles and internal controlsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work with deadlinesAbility to learn and apply new softwareBeginner level experience with ExcelAbility to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentagesExcellent oral and written communicationWhy work at Landstar?Landstar is seeking hard-working and dedicated employees committed to exceeding the expectations of those we serve.
