The Mid Atlantic Regional Director of Development is part of the Senior Management Team.Why Join Us?You’ll play a key role in helping grieving children and their families access programs and resources that change lives—offering support, hope, and connection.What You’ll DoFundraise from diverse sources, including private foundations, individuals, and companies to achieve annual revenue goalsOversee and support grant prospecting, writing and reportingCreate and manage all appeals, annual reports and proposalsMake and execute donor stewardship plansManage and develop fundraising events, monthly giving and leadership givingWork with the CEO to set and achieve goalsManage a personal portfolio of donors to develop increased givingExecute and manage all aspects of current Mid Atlantic fundraising events and identify new opportunitiesManage Mid Atlantic Development teamOversee VA RAC (Regional Advisory Council)Support NC RACOther projects and activities as neededQualifications7+ years of fundraising experienceExceptional interpersonal and relationship building skillsExperience working with organizations with annual revenue of at least 3.0 million+Demonstrated fundraising track record including major gifts, grants, events, large fundraising events and appealsDemonstrated writing and marketing skillsExperience with managing staffExceptional logistical skills and attention to detailAbility to balance multiple projects and deadlinesStrong Donor Database experienceThrives in a fast-paced and fun environment
