Apply via Dice today!The Data Engineer is responsible for delivering data warehouse, analytics solutions by ingesting, integrating, and curating data from Epic and non-Epic source systems. This role supports ETL development, data modeling, and solution delivery using Epic reporting analytics tools such as Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito to enable enterprise reporting and analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver data warehouse and analytics solutions through data ingestion, integration, transformation, and curation of healthcare dataDesign, develop, and support ETL processes using Epic tools, including Clarity ETL, Caboodle ETL, and Cogito componentsDevelop custom imports and integration processes to move Epic and non-Epic data into Caboodle and related enterprise data warehouse environmentsApply strong relational database expertise, including advanced SQL, complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuningPartner with architecture, reporting, and business teams to design and implement scalable data solutions aligned with enterprise standardsWork with business users to gather requirements and recommend analytical and integration solutions that meet reporting and operational needsEnsure data models, ETL workflows, and database structures are consistent with approved data architecture standards.Evaluate data quality, troubleshoot ETL issues, and communicate findings in a clear and concise mannerDocument technical designs, ETL workflows, programming changes, and system maintenance proceduresSupport source-to-target mapping, data profiling, change data capture, and validation of data pipelinesSkills & ExperienceExperience in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing within a healthcare environmentHands-on experience creating DMCs in Epic data platforms such as Clarity & Caboodle databasesStrong SQL and relational database skills, including stored procedures and query optimizationExperience integrating non-Epic data into Caboodle or enterprise analytics platformsExperience with ETL workflows, data validation, and performance tuningFamiliarity with healthcare reporting, enterprise analytics, and operational data workflowsHealthcare Background preferred; Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skillsEpic certifications in Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model, or Caboodle Development (preferred)Ability to work independently with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
