Traveler will automatically be declined.Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the remarkable, highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team on the Pediatric Intensive Care unit!Nurses on this state of the art 21-bed unit care for children from newborn to adult. PICU nurses provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems. Problems include: acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi system organ failure, and ECMO.Minimum RequirementsFacility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, *** portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed). Experience:Minimum of two years of pediatric ICU experience required.Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or 2 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from their permanent address state.BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYPALS - must be certified through American Heart Association Education:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.ReferencesNeeds 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).TelemetryTraveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.FloatingTravelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds).
