Baseball Head Boys' Coach - Winter Season (School Year 2025-26)

General Statement of Duties The candidate must be ready to show evidence of their past experiences as a highly successful coach. They should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive leadership of a public school's baseball program, which includes effectively managing the team and its coaching staff but also meticulously preparing and overseeing games and practices, handling equipment, and inspiring players. Additionally, the candidate must be prepared to articulate their commitment to the academic development and growth of student athletes.Essential DutiesDemonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.Commitment to ensuring the physical well-being of student-athletes during site-based practices and while traveling to and from away games and events.Prior experience and proven strategies for seeking out post-high school collegiate opportunities for student-athletes.Ability to foster healthy school-community relations by keeping the community informed about and responsive to the program's needs.Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with players, parents, and school administration.Ability to organize practices, games, and other team events efficiently, in accordance with HCPS and VHSL requirements and standards.Available written reference attesting to the candidate's ability to provide high-level leadership for a high-level baseball school program.Minimum QualificationsSubstantial experience as a baseball coach, preferably at the high school level or higher, with a proven ability to provide leadership for players and coaching staff.Experience as a player at the collegiate or professional level is preferred.Must be available to provide written references attesting to the candidate's ability to deliver high-level leadership and coaching for a high-level baseball school program.Additional InformationThe position is open until it is filled.
