Job DetailsDescriptionJob SummaryThe DC IC specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory records through the planning, execution, and analysis of daily and periodic cycle counts. This role runs counting activities, investigates variances, drives root‑cause corrective actions, and partners with warehouse and operations teams to maintain inventory integrity and support business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCycle Counting & Inventory AccuracyPlan, schedule, and execute daily, weekly, and ad‑hoc cycle countsEnsure cycle counts are completed accurately and on timeMaintain inventory accuracy aligned with company KPIsResponsible for yard audits of storage trailersAct as the subject‑matter expert for inventory accuracy processesVariance Analysis & Root CauseInvestigate inventory discrepancies and resolve count variancesIdentify root causes (process, system, receiving, picking, shipping)Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceEscalate unresolved issues to management with supporting dataReporting & DocumentationTrack and report inventory accuracy, adjustments, and trendsMaintain accurate documentation and audit trailsSupport internal and external audits as requiredAssist with physical inventories and year‑end countsProcess Improvement & ComplianceIdentify process gaps impacting inventory accuracySupport continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, SOP updates)Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controlsPromote safe work practices during all counting activitiesQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of warehouse or inventory control experienceStrong cycle counting and variance investigation skillsWorking knowledge of WMS/ERP systemsProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsPreferredExperience in distribution center or high‑volume warehouseERP experience (SAP, Manhattan, or similar)Lean or Six Sigma exposureSkills & CompetenciesInventory accuracy and controlData analysis and problem solvingCommunication and cross‑functional collaborationTime management and priority settingAbility to work independentlyContinuous improvement mindsetEssential Functions Of The PositionPerforming tasks in a standing position for extended periods of time.Repetitive movements.Able to stand, reach, bend, push and pull bulky material for the entire shift and capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequentlyUnafraid of Heights- potential height of 27.5 ft on equipmentFlexible schedule, including occasional overtime if requiredFlexible to travel locally to other facilitiesFLSA StatusNon-ExemptThe associate in this role must perform the above essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
