Quality Control Manager

Quality ManagerThis position reports to the Plant Manager.Daily supervision activities through:Supervision, mentoring, training, and workload management of direct reports across the PA facilitiesProviding overall direction for execution of department-level objectivesManaging communications within the department and across other departmentsCollaborate with other departments to prevent and resolve customer complaints and internally discovered issues through:Applying effective techniques of root cause analysis and corrective actionMonitoring effectiveness of implemented corrective and preventive actionsLeading and/or participating in Quality improvement projectsLeading and/or participating in internal auditsLower risk to the organization through:Identifying opportunities for improvement and initiating improvement projectsImplementing preventative measures through new technology or tooling to prevent escapesRecommending appropriate design and specification changes to improve part manufacturabilityEnsuring all documentation and records are managed well according to internal, external, and regulatory requirementsReviewing documentation changes to ensure Quality requirements are metEnsuring Havis' readiness for internal and external quality auditsAdditional related requirements to include:Effectively communicate and reinforce Havis' commitment to QualityParticipate in and/or lead quality reporting activitiesWorks with corporate quality to maintain calibration of tools for their locationsParticipate in supplier audits as neededCreate and maintain PPAP and other customer-required quality documents (FMEA, Control plan, Process flow diagrams, etc.) to meet customer requirementsOther requirements as assigned by leadershipRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3-5 years experience in a Quality Supervisor role or related position.Experience with SolidWorks preferredStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong analytical skills in performing root cause analysis, investigation, and proposal of solutionsDetail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record keeping skillsAbility to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawingsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft ExcelAbility to communicate professionally both inside and outside of the company by email and phone, working across all levels of the organizationStrong team player, comfortable working with design engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, marketing, planning, and others as appropriate on a daily basisCorrected 20/20 visionFamiliarity with calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipmentAbility to understand written and verbal instructions in EnglishMust be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and standingAbility to regularly lift and move up to 25lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs.Work Environment Manufacturing:MachineryChemicals, (See SDS)DustNoiseProtective clothing and equipment may be requiredUse of a computer or electronic equipment may be requiredCompany DetailsHavis is at the forefront of revolutionizing industries by unlocking the full potential of technology to drive productivity and enhance safety through innovative mobility solutions.
