Title: Technical Program Manager - HardwareJob Type: Contract (W2 Only)Contract Length: 6 monthsPay Range: $65-70/hrStart Date: ASAPLocation: Onsite - Foster City, CA (International travel required)About The OpportunityOur client, a leader in the development of self-driving vehicle technology, is looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager - Hardware to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves supporting the Advanced Hardware Engineering team in delivering autonomous hardware, infotainment electronic control units (ECUs), and electrical components for their future fleet of self-driving vehicles. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesThis role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:Defining tasks, resources, and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful program delivery that meets company milestones.Developing a program roadmap to effectively communicate deliverables to stakeholders and hold them accountable.Proactively identifying and mitigating risks in the program schedule.Establishing standard reports to provide concise and effective communications on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.Setting the agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and minimize risks.Working with engineering and finance teams to define and track resource requirements, including headcount and budget.Supporting key decisions by working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions.Required Skills & Experience:We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:5+ years of experience in Hardware Program Management or Engineering Management, focused on managing cross-functional teams on hardware/software integration in the development phase.BS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.Deep expertise in tools required to manage complex projects (e.g., JIRA, Gantt charts).Prior experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs).Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience.W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
