Battery Energy Storage Expert

Our client is seeking a Battery Energy Storage Technical Expert to join their EU team. Your Main Responsibilities:impart extensive technical understanding of BESS engineering, design, implementation, and upkeep.Assist project teams with the selection, sizing, and system integration of battery technologies.Make recommendations for ways to increase the performance, longevity, availability, and dependability of storage solutions.Assure adherence to all relevant BESS standards, guidelines, company policies, and procedures.For BESS initiatives, establish procedures, standards, and guidelines to guarantee consistency and excellent performance.Processes should be continuously improved and refined using the knowledge gained from previous initiatives.Oversee the industrialisation of BESS solutions, promoting standardisation, scalability, and cost effectiveness.Work together with manufacturers, suppliers, and other industry players to take advantage of technological advancements and best practices.Conduct and supervise technical peer evaluations to make sure best practices are followed and to confirm the viability of the project. To guarantee that firm staff members are consistently upskilled, mentor and teach project teams on technical themes linked to BESS. Encourage international teams to share best practices and technical know-how.Your Qualifications and Requirements:Master's degree in energy systems, electrical engineering, or similar disciplines.Strong industrial background with a minimum of three years' experience designing and implementing Li-Ion technology-focused BESS. It is advantageous to have experience with BESS safety and project deployment (contracting, building, and commissioning). Possessing Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) design experience is advantageous.Capacity to oversee several tasks at once and lead groups of people to successful completion.thorough knowledge of grid integration, power electronics, battery technology, and energy storage system architecture.Ability to create and develop processes and workflows for increased effectiveness and quality.strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to assess and suggest solutions for difficult technical problems.Good interpersonal skills and the capacity to explain complicated technical concepts to a range of stakeholders. Approximately 20% are willing to travel worldwide when necessary to assist project teams and interact with stakeholders.English is a must; French, Dutch, or Spanish would be advantageous.
