Vehicle Service Tech
OverviewThe Vehicle Service Technician (VST) is responsible for ensuring all ambulances and response vehicles are clean, stocked, safe, and in proper working condition to support daily operations. The VST will also maintain the supply room and facilitate filling supply and equipment requests. They will assist the Logistics Supervisor in the transportation and delivery of units for repairs when needed. (Checks mechanical fluid levels, tires, and operational status of all lights and equipment)Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure operational readiness and report deficienciesVehicle inventory check/restocking of supplies and equipment requisitioning supplies for replacementEnsure deep cycling of monitor batteries as required.Document condition of ambulance and equipment when turned in by crews at the end of their shifts reporting any damage to units or equipment. Complete required documentation and inspection logs accurately and timelyTransport vehicles to and from service facilities as neededAssist field crews and supervisors as needed to support operationsMust be professional and appropriately dressed at all times. Any other duties assigned.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearAbility to bend and stoop, sit and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, carry, and balance 110 pounds and exert on a regular basis 50 pounds of force and at times up to 100 pounds.
