SummaryJob Summary: Sr. IAM AI Solutions ArchitectJob DetailsJob ID: 14555Company: Newell BrandsLocation: Atlanta, GA (Preferred) or RemoteJob Type: Full-timePosition OverviewThe Sr. IAM AI Solutions Architect ensures that Newell's agentic and generative AI solutions are identity-safe while simultaneously applying AI to accelerate IAM operations. This role spans across all IAM capability towers (IGA, PAM, AM, ILM) rather than owning a single tower, focusing on defining AI-related architecture and controls. The primary goal is to align IAM capabilities with Newell's AI ambitions to act as a business accelerator.Machine Learning & Artificial IntelligenceKey ResponsibilitiesPillar 1: Enabling Safe AI Development and ConsumptionAccess Governance for AI Solutions: Define and enforce access control policies for agentic and generative AI, ensuring users and agents operate within authorized scopes. Serve as a resource on AI identity architecture for cross-functional teams.Non-Human Identity (NHI) Governance: Partner with towers to govern NHIs (agents, service accounts, machine identities). Manage lifecycle processes (provisioning, attestation, rotation, decommissioning) and remediate NHI sprawl and orphaned accounts.Agentic AI Configuration Governance: Own security standards for MCP and A2A configuration layers, including authentication boundaries and logging. Govern agent-to-agent trust relationships and monitor for configuration drift.AI Identity Risk & Compliance: Identify and address identity-related risks in AI architectures, track AI threat landscapes (e.g., prompt injection), and support audit/compliance activities related to AI identity governance.Pillar 2: Applying AI to Strengthen and Accelerate IAMAI-Assisted Integration & Automation: Identify opportunities for AI/agentic frameworks to improve integrations, accelerate connector build-outs, and automate lifecycle processes.Program Guidance: Serve as the primary resource on applying AI to IAM. Develop playbooks, training, and development standards to help the IAM program leverage AI for security, delivery speed, and user experience.Required QualificationsExperience in IAM, identity governance, and information security domains.Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, access lifecycle management, and privileged access.Broad knowledge of the IAM stack (PAM, ILM, IGA, AM) and their dependencies.Hands-on experience with AI/ML engineering, agentic frameworks, or rapid prototyping (e.g., vibe coding).Scripting or development skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) for building IAM tooling.Working knowledge of agentic AI architecture (MCP, A2A, orchestration patterns) and non-human identity governance.Experience with AI-assisted development and understanding of AI-specific security risks.Hands-on experience with IAM platforms in hybrid or cloud environments.Proven ability to drive outcomes in a matrixed/tower-based environment through influence and partnership.Ability to translate complex identity concepts into plain language.Self-directed with a focus on finding a safe path to yes balancing innovation and risk.Preferred QualificationsExperience securing AI-enabled platforms or workflows in an enterprise setting.Familiarity with AI-driven analytics and anomaly detection in IAM.Knowledge of machine identity frameworks (SPIFFE/SPIRE) and modern auth standards (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM).Experience with audit, compliance, or regulatory stakeholders.Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific IAM certs).EducationBachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience with a strong delivery track record.Who You AreNaturally curious about AI and identity security, motivated by learning and teaching.
