We'd love the opportunity to discuss this position in further detail with you.Quality Control TechnicianSchedule:6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (up to 4:30 PM)Monday-Friday (Saturdays as scheduled by leadership)Pay Range:$16.00 - 20.00 /hourWage ranges are commensurate with experience.Position SummaryA Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing, inspecting, and investigating quality concerns regarding products produced by Bridgewood Cabinetry. The Quality Control Technician works throughout the manufacturing plant and is fully educated on the specifications of Bridgewood Cabinetry's product and takes pride in ensuring customers receive the best product before it leaves our shipping department.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Following company safety and company rules & proceduresResponsible for understanding the value and specifications of all items sold by Bridgewood Cabinetry.Ensuring all products are rejected as necessary and sent to the proper location for correction.Investigating quality issues, concerns, and processes that lead to issues seen in products being produced.Visually examines and feels surface of Woodstock or products to detect defects such as mismatched color, dents, splits, blemishes, loos and uneven joints, holes, and faulty sanding.Networking and asking questions within different departments to identify information regarding the quality outcome of our product such as procedures not being followed properly or identifying areas for improvement. Reporting these to their supervisor or manager.Communicating an issue to a department when a quality issue is found.Performing repair on cabinets as necessary using a putty knife, dent repair iron, stick burner, and air tools.Verifies conformance of Woodstock or products to dimensional specifications on order.Records quantity of material approved and rejected on inspection report.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Preferred one year experience in a quality control department.Preferred experience in cabinet manufacturing.Meticulous during inspectionAbility to differentiate paints, enamels, stains, finishes, styles, and product types.Ability to memorize the company catalogAbility to write correspondence digitally to others.Ability to communicate and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Understanding or willingness to understand how different parts of cabinets work together to create the final orderMotivated to provide the best product to our customers and their homes/businessesAbility to utilize a computer efficientlyAbility to efficiently and accurately read a tape measurer and calipers.Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.High school diploma or GEDPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
