Nuclear Structural Engineer (Engineer Structural 3)

Role Overview: This position is for a Structural Engineer supporting nuclear and manufacturing projects within a defense-focused organization.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a structural SME resolving technical issues and NCRs.Perform technical reviews, develop BOMs, and maintain 3D models.Analyze and develop structural specifications involving various materials and systems.Assess damage tolerance, durability, safety, and structural modeling.Apply expertise in dynamics, loads, stability, stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis.Utilize digital modeling tools like CATIA, Siemens NX, and analytical software for communication and production support.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 5 years' relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or more with advanced degrees.Experience in nuclear industry, manufacturing, and structural components.Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed.Preferred Extras: Experience in regulated environments, familiarity with quality standards, PE license, and experience with structural fabrication or Tekla software.Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to work in diverse environments, tolerate confined spaces, and handle physical tasks like climbing ladders.
