Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and infrastructure to support AI-driven products Develop and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient query patterns and high performance Refactor and improve existing systems to reduce technical debt and enhance maintainability Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust deployment and monitoring strategies Contribute to open-source projects and integrate cutting-edge technologies into production systems Establish and enforce best practices for architecture, coding standards, and team workflows Focus on reliability, security, and scalability to meet the needs of millions of users Requirements Proven experience building and deploying mission-critical REST/RPC backend services Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience designing scalable data pipelines Familiarity with Kubernetes, deployment pipelines, and system-level debugging Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver elegant, maintainable solutions Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams Knowledge of infrastructure best practices, security, and performance optimization Benefits Competitive salary: $230,000 — $290,000 USD, based on experience and internal leveling Flexible PTO with U.S. holidays and a week shutdown in December Comprehensive health insurance covering 100% of the policyholder and 75% of dependents 12 weeks paid parental leave (U.S.) 401(k) program with 3% company match, vested immediately $500 work-from-home stipend and $1,200 annual health & wellness allowance Access to co-working hubs in San Francisco and New York for in-person collaboration Opportunity to work at the forefront of AI research with a collaborative, innovative team Thank you for your interest! #J-18808-Ljbffr
