Engineers work in small, elite teams where software moves rapidly from concept to flight hardware, giving you genuine ownership from day one.Relocation assistance is available for engineers looking to move to Southern California.The Senior Software Engineer will own the development of guidance, navigation and autonomy software for clean sheet autonomous air systems, working across software, systems, flight controls and hardware teams to deliver operational capability.As the Senior Software Engineer your responsibilities will includeDesigning guidance, navigation and autonomy software for autonomous air vehicles and effectorsDeveloping flight control algorithms using ArduPilot, PX4 or similar autopilot frameworksIntegrating software onto embedded flight hardware running Linux and real time microcontrollersSupporting airframe integration, flight testing and operational deploymentCollaborating across software, systems and hardware engineering teams to solve complex flight challengesAs the Senior Software Engineer you will bringExperience developing GNC software for UAVs, autonomous aircraft, missiles or effectorsStrong C++ and embedded software development capabilityUnderstanding of fixed wing or rotary wing flight dynamicsExperience with ArduPilot, PX4 or similar autonomous flight frameworksExperience developing real time software for embedded systems and flight hardwareThe Senior Software Engineer will join a rapidly growing engineering organization developing clean sheet autonomous systems from first concept through operational deployment.
