Our best-in-class management team leverages expertise from the technology, fintech, energy, and finance domains, as well as deep experience related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain.Role OverviewWe are seeking a technically driven and operationally minded Senior Network Operations Engineer to take ownership of how our network is monitored, managed, and defended against disruption. This is a lead-level role centered on building and maintaining the procedures, processes, and escalation frameworks that keep our network operations running smoothly — and ensure our teams respond decisively when they don't.You will be the primary architect of our NOC operational playbook, a senior escalation authority during critical incidents, and a hands-on technical leader who raises the bar for the entire operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations LeadershipOwn the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of network operations procedures, runbooks, and SOPsDefine and maintain escalation frameworks, ensuring clear ownership and response paths for incidents of all severity levelsLead post-incident reviews and drive root cause analysis (RCA) to closure, translating findings into actionable process improvementsEstablish and enforce operational standards across the NOC, including change management, monitoring coverage, and incident handling practicesAct as the primary point of escalation for complex, high-impact network events — providing expert guidance and decisive leadership under pressureNetwork Engineering & AdministrationMonitor, maintain, and optimize a large-scale telecommunications network including routing, switching, and transport infrastructureDesign and implement network changes, upgrades, and capacity expansions with minimal service disruptionConfigure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and automation strategies to improve network reliability and operational efficiencyTeam DevelopmentMentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, building technical depth and operational discipline across the teamCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and leadership teams to align operations practices with broader organizational goalsManage and coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers during service interruptions, serving as the primary technical liaison to drive timely resolution, enforce SLA accountability, and ensure clear communication throughout the incident lifecycleServe as a subject matter expert and internal resource for network operations best practicesRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in network operations or network engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior escalation role — preferably in a telecommunications environmentDemonstrated experience building or overhauling NOC procedures, escalation workflows, and incident management processesDeep expertise in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLSStrong hands-on experience with platforms such as Cisco IOS/IOS-XR, Juniper Junos, or Nokia SR OSProficiency with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar)Experience with packet analysis tools such as WiresharkSolid understanding of WAN technologies: MPLS, SD-WAN, DWDM, EthernetExperience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar toolsProven ability to lead incident response efforts and communicate clearly with both technical teams and stakeholders during high-pressure situationsPreferred QualificationsActive CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIE certificationExperience implementing or working within ITIL frameworks; familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or RemedyExperience with SDN/NFV technologiesFamiliarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Knowledge of VoIP/SIP or other telco-specific protocolsBenefits* 401K Retirement Plan with matchMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance And other perks!
