Technical Sales Representative

TERRITORY RESPONSIBILITY:Select Counties in KY, Select Counties in PA, Entire State of Ohio, Counties of Allegany and Garrett in MD and all of WV with two company exceptionsEssential Job Responsibilities:Responsible for the direct sale of Megger products to the following served markets: Investor Owned Utilities, Cooperatives/Municipalities, Power Plants, Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractor, Services Industry, and GovernmentExtensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territoryMust have excellent time and territory management skillsMust have excellent communication skills; written and verbalAbility to interpret non-verbal communication cues in order to close salesOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Skills and Competencies:Education: Degree a plus, BSEE preferredExperience: Requires four years’ experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus manufacturers and heavy industrial facilitiesTechnical background should include knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, power cables, motors and protective relaysAdditional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work independently as well as within small teamsDemonstrated ability to multi-task with ability to get things doneSelf-directed professional with the ability to maintain own schedule and prioritization of your day Strong organizational skillsExternal Contacts: Extensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territoryTravel Requirements:Requires up to 60% travel.
