Job Description Accounting Analyst IIILocation: Sacramento, CASchedule: Remote | Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)Position OverviewThe Accounting Analyst III supports a large-scale payroll and workforce management system implementation, with a primary focus on testing and validation activities within Workday and UKG Pro Workforce Management. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test scenarios across multiple testing phases to ensure system accuracy, data integrity, and readiness for deployment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, stage, and execute test scenarios for payroll and workforce management system implementationsPerform unit, integration, system, regression, and parallel payroll testingAnalyze test results to identify discrepancies, variances, and system defectsResearch issues thoroughly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support resolutionDocument test cases, execution results, and issue tracking in alignment with project standardsSupport validation of payroll calculations, system logic, and data flows between platformsPartner with HRIS, payroll, finance, and IT teams to ensure testing completeness and accuracyContribute to testing readiness, execution tracking, and status reporting throughout the project lifecycleEnsure systems meet operational, compliance, and deployment requirements prior to go-liveQualifications3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, payroll systems analysis, or related system support rolesHands-on experience with Workday and UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM)Demonstrated experience conducting payroll testing (unit, integration, regression, and parallel testing)Strong ability to design and execute detailed test scenarios for complex system implementationsExperience analyzing testing outcomes and identifying root causes of discrepanciesProficiency in test documentation, results tracking, and issue managementExperience supporting large-scale system implementation or transformation projectsStrong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams across HR, payroll, finance, and ITExperience supporting enterprise system implementations within healthcare or large organizationsExposure to OneLink or similar enterprise integration initiativesFamiliarity with test management and defect tracking toolsKnowledge of payroll operations and compliance considerationsAbility to interpret system data flows and integrations across platformsExperience working in fast-paced, project-driven environments with tight timelinesBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
