Forward Deployed Engineer

Want to build software that solves real-world problems and transforms an entire industry?This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Series B in Austin that is using modern software and AI to reinvent a centuries-old, manufacturing waste-intensive industry.As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work closely with clients, often on site, to design and build data-driven software solutions using Python, Java, Golang or Kotlin on the backend primarily and also some modern front-end frameworks like React and Vue. Instead of working through layers of bureaucracy, you will launch new features and products into production regularly, with a strong focus on outcomes and real-world value.You will make an impact from day 1, owning projects end to end, from scoping and design through to deployment. You’ll even get to work on AI models, some which combine hardware and computer vision – great opportunity to experiment and broaden your skillset.Requirements1-4+ years in a professional engineering environment (high level education projects and teaching positions are also considered)Full proficiency in a strong backend language such as Python, Java, Golang etcHappy to travel for the role and have the ability to get to on-site locations for clients (travel is and expense are all covered)High level of college/university level education in a relevant area (e.g Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics etc)This role will be ideal for those who love travel, you will be working with clients across Texas and the wider United States with plenty of opportunities to see the impact of your work first hand (up to 30% of your time will be spent on client sites).This is where serious engineers go to work shoulder-to-shoulder with industry and meaningfully change how the physical world gets built.If this sounds like something interesting and you have the required skillset and experience, please apply for immediate consideration!
