Bridge Laborer – RHL Companies Position Overview RHL Companies is seeking a hardworking and safety‑focused Bridge Laborer to support our bridge and heavy‑civil construction projects. This role is essential to field operations, assisting carpenters, operators, and foremen with tasks that keep projects moving efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and eager to learn skilled trades within the bridge‑building environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with formwork setup, stripping, and cleanup for bridge structures Support carpenters and crew members with material handling and jobsite tasks Perform general labor duties, including digging, lifting, carrying, and site preparation Help place and secure rebar, concrete, and structural components Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely Set up and maintain traffic control, barricades, and safety zones as needed Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and free of hazards Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors to complete daily tasks Adhere to all RHL Companies safety policies, OSHA standards, and jobsite procedures Qualifications Previous construction or labor experience preferred, but not required Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Reliable transportation to job sites Strong commitment to safety and work ethic Preferred Skills Experience in heavy‑civil or bridge construction Familiarity with concrete work, rebar, or formwork Ability to operate small tools or equipment (saws, drills, compactors, etc.) Basic understanding of construction site safety practices What RHL Companies Offers Competitive hourly pay Prevailing wage pay Opportunities for overtime On‑the‑job training and advancement into skilled trades A supportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and growth About RHL Companies RHL Companies is a trusted heavy‑civil contractor specializing in bridge construction, concrete structures, and infrastructure development.
