Speech Language Pathologist
Qualifications: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.This position will support at the elementary and secondary level, including assisting with preschool evaluations and serving nonpublic school students.Overview: Full-time Speech Language Pathology (SLP) position. SLP will provide speech language therapy services to identified students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; provides services to students with specialized needs; perform a variety of duties in support of student case management services; and perform a variety of duties related to assigned area of responsibility. The SLP will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, families, and school/community professionals to best support students.Essential Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:* Provide student speech language therapy services according to Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plan.** Assessment of student speech and language skills.** Participate in the multi-disciplinary team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Response to Instruction (RTI) plans.** Confer with teachers and parents regarding student progress.** Communicates with staff and families in the development of oral and functional communication skills.** Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information** Provide assistance to staff through consultation, training and individual and group activities.** Support Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication training and implementation to students, teachers, and parents.** Document student progress toward IEP goals and perform a variety of clerical support duties such as maintaining objectives, preparing charts, records, graphs, or other means of documentation.** Complete Medicaid billing documentation and weekly claims.** Consult with and advise educators and medical staff on speech or hearing topics such as communication strategies and speech and language stimulation.** Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in classroom and therapy activities.** Complete annual hearing screenings following state guidelines.** Adapt or modify instructional materials and/or equipment for teacher use in the classroom, as determined by students' needs and abilities.** Maintain and manage Special Education compliance including IEP development, implementation and Case Conference procedures.** Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.Reports to: Director Special Education and Building Principal.Apply at: https://www.applitrack.com/southmadison/onlineapp/Health, Dental, Vision and Life InsurancePaid holidaysRetirement PlanApply at: https://www.applitrack.com/southmadison/onlineapp/
